A chilling incident has come to light in Delhi’s Burari area, where the body of a minor girl was recovered from inside a suitcase. Police suspect that the girl was brutally murdered and that an attempt was made to dispose of her body. The accused, identified as Avinash, has been arrested, and an investigation is currently underway.
According to Delhi Police, the case surfaced following a tip-off regarding the suspected murder. Acting promptly on the information, a police team laid a trap and apprehended the prime suspect. During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime. Based on his statement, the police recovered the suitcase containing the victim’s body from the Ajit Vihar area.
Police inspector Vishvendra Chaudhary said that the deceased minor had recently arrived in Delhi from Bihar. Preliminary findings indicate that the alleged mastermind behind the heinous act was a relative of the victim, raising further concerns about the nature and motive of the crime. The accused is being questioned as investigators attempt to establish the exact sequence of events and the reason behind the murder.
Following the discovery, local police along with a forensic team reached the scene to collect crucial evidence. The body was sent to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination. Officials have stated that they are awaiting the autopsy report, which will help determine the precise cause and time of death. The medical examination is also expected to clarify whether the victim had been subjected to any form of sexual assault.
