A day after he secured bail from the Punjab and Haryana High Court in a corruption case lodged against him by the Vigilance Bureau, a fresh case has been registered against MLA Raman Arora at the Rama Mandi police station.
The police arrested Arora after his release from Nabha jail on Thursday and produced him in a local court later in the day. The MLA was booked on charges of extortion on August 30 on a complaint by a private institution.
MC Assistant Town Planner Sukhdev Singh and Municipal Inspector Harpreet Kaur were also arrested in the corruption case against Arora. The Vigilance Bureau had also booked his son, but he had got pre-arrest bail from court.
