Rainfall hit various parts of Delhi on Thursday morning, and the lowest temperature was 26.2 degrees Celsius, which is typical for this time of year.
The Safdarjung Observatory, the main weather station in the national capital, measured 10.1 mm of rainfall between 5:30 am and 8:30 am on Thursday.
The meteorological department predicted the possibility of more showers throughout the day, with the highest temperature expected to reach around 34 degrees Celsius.
At 8:30 am, the humidity level was at 100 per cent.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a "yellow" alert for the city until Thursday due to the anticipated continuation of rainy weather in the capital until July 28.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded in the "moderate" category with a reading of 117 at 9 am.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
