For the Ram Navami procession in Hyderabad, the Siddiamber Bazar mosque was covered with cloth.
The procession was set to commence from the Seetharambagh temple at 9 am and conclude at Hanuman Vyamshala Koti at 7 pm on April 17, according to a report in Siasat.
The procession would go through multiple areas, including Mangalhat, Dhoolpet, Begum Bazaar, Siddiamber Bazaar, Gowliguda, Putli Bowli, and Koti, before reaching its destination at Hanuman Vyamshala.
The report alleged that more mosques and dargahs could be covered with cloth for the procession.
Meanwhile, some on social media called out the measure in Hyderabad, saying that temples are never covered in cloth for Eid, so why to cover mosques for a Hindu festival?
One Shirin Khan posted on X: “As a "precautionary measure," police are covering mosques in Hyderabad ahead of Ram Navami. However, did anyone witness any temples being covered for Eid?”
Many others shared a similar sentiment.
