In Madhya Pradesh, the president of the Parshuram Kalyan Board, Pandit Vishnu Rajoria, has announced a Rs 1 lakh reward for young Brahmin couples who choose to have four children.
Rajoria, who also holds the rank of state cabinet minister, made this announcement at an event in Bhopal.
During his speech, Mr. Rajoria mentioned that the number of "heretics" is increasing because people are no longer focusing on their families as much.
He emphasized his hopes for the younger generation, saying, "We can't expect much from the older people. You are responsible for the future generation. Young couples often stop at one child, and this is a problem. I urge you to have at least four."
He also assured that the Parshuram Kalyan Board would continue offering the Rs 1 lakh reward to couples with four children, regardless of whether he remains the president.
Addressing concerns about the cost of education, Mr. Rajoria urged youngsters to manage financially but not delay having children. He warned that failing to do so could lead to "heretics" taking control of the country.
