MP CM meets UAE minister to boost investment ties

Mohan Yadav explained that Madhya Pradesh provides a conducive industrial base, policy and investment support and required infrastructure for UAE investment in industries.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met the UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi on Monday and talked about the investment prospects in the state under India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and I2U2 collaboration.

 

Mohan Yadav explained that Madhya Pradesh provides a conducive industrial base, policy and investment support and required infrastructure for UAE investment in industries such as textiles, pharma, smart manufacturing, renewable energy, and food processing.

On an X post, Mohan Yadav said, "Today, on the second day of Dubai visit, I met with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, H.E. Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, and discussed in detail the huge investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and I2U2 collaboration."

 

"Madhya Pradesh provides an appropriate industrial base, policy incentives, and supporting infrastructure for UAE investments in industries including EV, textiles, pharma, smart manufacturing, renewable energy, and food processing. Moreover, there are huge opportunities for collaboration in sectors including mineral resources, tourism, healthcare, 'plug and play' industrial parks, and air cargo.". This multi-faceted cooperation underpinned by CEPA and I2U2 will take India-UAE relations to new heights and will be important in achieving the vision of a 'Developed Madhya Pradesh', he added.

 

CM Yadav is on an official tour of UAE. During the day, he had a high-level bilateral meeting with Chairman of the JAIN International Trade Organisation (JITO) group, Mukesh Vora, and deliberated on the possibility of industrial partnership and investment in Madhya Pradesh.

As per a post on MP Chief Minister's Office's X, the two leaders agreed to set up the MP-JITO investment platform in Dubai for furthering cooperation in advanced manufacturing, logistics, renewable energy, skill development, promotion of MSMEs, and educational exchange.


"Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, on his Dubai tour, had a high-level bilateral meeting with Mr. Mukesh Vora, Chairman of the JITO (Jain International Trade Organisation) group".
 
The session long debated the scope for investment and industrial partnership in Madhya Pradesh. In this, it was decided to set up the MP-JITO investment platform in Dubai, fostering joint ventures in high-tech manufacturing, logistics, and renewable energy sectors, and further enhancing partnership in the fields of skill development, promotion of MSMEs, and educational exchange," the CMO said in the X post.


Mohan Yadav spoke with the Emirates Airlines Chairman and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and the Emirates Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for West Asia and the Indian Ocean, Essa Sulaiman Ahmad.

 

While meeting, the two sides deliberated on deepening bilateral aviation cooperation between India and the UAE and augmenting aviation relations, with a focus on developing direct flight services from Tier-2 cities such as Indore and Bhopal, establishing a regional cargo hub in Central India, and pursuing opportunities in aviation training and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) infrastructure.

He also conducted an important meeting with Grew Energy Private Limited's CEO and Director Vinay Thadani and his team on the 3.0 gigawatt solar cell project in Madhya Pradesh's Narmadapuram district, which will generate more than 700 employment opportunities and make Madhya Pradesh a leader in the renewable energy sector.

 

Following the meetings, Yadav highlighted the broader investment dialogue, emphasising the positive responses from Dubai’s industrial community regarding investments in air ambulance, civil aviation, and MRO sectors, as well as meaningful suggestions in wellness, healthcare, energy, and services.

 

The Madhya Pradesh investment conversation in Dubai started today morning with a series of significant meetings and discussions… Detailed discussions were conducted with the Consul General of India and Embassy officers regarding making doing business overseas easier and more efficient. With regard to the opportunities in mineral resources, industrial infrastructure, and food processing parks, in-depth discussions were conducted with different businessmen," Yadav explained.

 

“One-on-one meetings were held regarding potential investments in air ambulance, civil aviation, and MRO sectors, which received positive responses from Dubai’s industrial community. Additionally, meaningful suggestions emerged in the fields of wellness, healthcare, energy, and services. Investors showed keen interest in gold and diamond mining, as well as other mineral-based sectors, which will give a new direction to the state’s development,” he added.

 

He is set to visit Spain after the end of his tour to UAE. His purpose behind the visit is to attract world investment to Madhya Pradesh, promote technology transfer, and generate new employment avenues in the ambit of "Global Dialogue 2025".
