MP CM transfers ₹175 cr to Sambal Yojana beneficiaries

Under the scheme, registered workers receive ₹1 lakh in case of partial disability, ₹2 lakh for permanent disability, ₹4 lakh in case of accidental death, ₹2 lakh for natural death, and ₹5,000 for funeral expenses.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed the beneficiaries virtually, highlighting that the Sambal Yojana is a unique scheme run by the state's Labour Department to help those in need.


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred ₹175 crore directly into the accounts of 7,953 beneficiaries of the Sambal Yojana from Mantralay in Bhopal on Tuesday.


The Chief Minister also addressed the beneficiaries virtually, highlighting that the Sambal Yojana is a unique scheme run by the state's Labour Department to help those in need. "Since its inception, the Sambal Scheme has provided benefits worth over ₹7,000 crore to 760,866 cases," CM Yadav said. "More than 1.77 crore workers have been registered under the Sambal Scheme in the state, and the registration process is also going on continuously. Now, ₹175 crores have been transferred into the accounts of 7,953 beneficiaries through a single click."


The Chief Minister further emphasised that the assistance is not merely financial relief but a vital support during difficult times. Under the scheme, registered workers receive ₹1 lakh in case of partial disability, ₹2 lakh for permanent disability, ₹4 lakh in case of accidental death, ₹2 lakh for natural death, and ₹5,000 for funeral expenses. 

CM Yadav also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that through him, all Sambal Yojana beneficiaries are being provided with health insurance cover of up to ₹5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. "It is a remarkable assistance," he stressed.

The Chief Minister also confirmed that "gig and platform workers" in the state have been included under the Sambal Yojana and receive all its benefits. I extend my greetings to all the families, which benefited today," he added.

Additionally, under the scheme, female workers receive ₹16,000 as maternity assistance, and the children of workers are supported under the Higher Education Incentive Scheme, where the state government covers the full tuition fees for college-level education. Sambal Yojana beneficiaries also receive ration eligibility cards, allowing them to access subsidised food under both central and state government schemes.
