On Tuesday, top officials from the Madhya Pradesh government checked the preparations for the Global Investors Summit (GIS), which will take place in Bhopal on February 24-25. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to open the summit.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain and Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana led the team of senior officials. They visited the event venue at Indira Gandhi Manav Sangrahalaya to review the arrangements and give necessary directions.
The chief secretary was briefed about the preparations for Prime Minister Modi's visit, as he will officially open the two-day summit aimed at attracting investments to the state.
This will be the first time the state-level investors summit is held in Bhopal.
Jain gave instructions to ensure proper security arrangements and protocols for Modi's visit. He also asked for a detailed plan for traffic management at the venue and measures to ensure smooth movement of invited VIPs and delegates.

The chief secretary emphasised the importance of making good arrangements for the various summit sessions and for foreign guests attending. He also stressed that everything should be ready on time, so participants, including foreign representatives, have a positive experience.
Several other officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajoura and Principal Secretaries Sanjay Shukla, Raghavendra Singh, and others, were also present during the inspection.
