Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Thursday that beneficiaries of Madhya Pradesh’s Ladli Behna Yojana will receive an additional Rs 250 as a Raksha Bandhan gift, apart from the regular aid of Rs 1,250 on August 10.
The announcement was made during a function in Chitrakoot, Satna district.
While addressing the gathering, Yadav spotlighted the government's intent to celebrate festivals during the month of 'Savan'.
“Though Rakhi is on August 19, Ladli Behnas will receive Rs 1,250 plus an additional Rs 250 for the festival on August 10,” he said. To commemorate the occasion, beneficiaries tied a 30-foot-long ‘rakhi’ to Yadav.
Furthermore, Yadav announced that beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna and Ujjwala Gas schemes will receive a subsidy of Rs 450 per cylinder.
Yadav also revealed plans to organise an investors' meet in Rewa to attract investment and generate employment in the region.
Addressing complaints of illegal parking charges in Chitrakoot, Yadav instructed the district collector to take immediate action.
In a lighter moment, Yadav entertained the audience by singing 'Phoolon Ka Taron Ka, Sabka Kehna Hai...' from the classic film "Hare Rama Hare Krishna". He later addressed a similar program in Chitrangi, Singrauli district.
