BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda received a rousing welcome from party leaders and workers on Saturday as he arrived at the Kangra airport for his two-day visit to Himachal Pradesh.
Nadda proceeded to Chamba by road, where he was scheduled to address a public rally and meet senior BJP leaders. BJP MLA from Dharamshala, Sudhir Sharma, also paid him a courtesy call.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Nadda criticised the Congress-led state government, alleging misuse of public funds. “Spending crores on advertisements in newspapers like the National Herald, which are neither sold nor read in Himachal, is a complete waste of taxpayers' money,” he said.
He further accused the state government of financial mismanagement, claiming that pensions and salaries for employees are being delayed.
