Police have arrested 14 more individuals, including 10 juveniles, in connection with the recent violence in Nagpur, bringing the total number of arrests to 105, a senior police official has confirmed.
The unrest, which erupted on 17 March, was triggered by rumours alleging that a "chadar" bearing holy inscriptions had been set ablaze during protests led by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
The demonstrations sought the removal of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singhal stated, "Fourteen accused were arrested from different parts of the city in connection with the riots. Three more FIRs have been registered related to the riots."

Large-scale stone-pelting and arson were reported across several areas, prompting stringent security measures.
Authorities have yet to determine when curfew restrictions in parts of the city will be lifted.
Singhal indicated that a decision would be taken following a high-level review meeting.
The police commissioner held a meeting at Police Bhavan in Civil Lines to assess the prevailing situation.
During the clashes, 33 police personnel, including three officers of Deputy Commissioner of Police rank, sustained injuries.
Among those booked for sedition is key accused Fahim Khan, police sources confirmed.
