Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday directed the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials to ensure 100 per cent improvement in services and facilities for pilgrims, focusing on upholding the sanctity of the world-renowned Tirumala temple and fulfilling devotees’ sentiments.
The Chief Minister held a detailed review meeting at the State Secretariat to address the surge in the number of pilgrims. He emphasised that the state’s reputation would depend on how well services are provided at the temple.
During the meeting, TTD officials presented their efforts over the past nine months to improve services for devotees, such as improvements in Srivari Laddu Prasadam, Anna Prasadams, and special arrangements during events like Brahmotsavams, Radha Saptami, and Vaikuntha Ekadasi.

Further discussions focused on enhancing facilities in galleries, Mada Veedhulu, and the development of a base camp at Alipiri. Plans for the development of Sri Padmavathi and Lord Venkateswara Temples in Amaravati were also reviewed.
Chandrababu Naidu underlined that TTD should be redesigned to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims for the next 50 years. He stressed the importance of using temple funds responsibly, highlighting that no one should misuse the Lord's funds.
The Chief Minister also insisted on implementing 100 per cent reforms at TTD, promising a thorough “cleansing operation” to ensure no one from the previous government remains in positions of power. Officials informed him about the construction of a base camp at Alipiri and ongoing projects for temples outside the state.
He announced that appointments for key positions such as Joint Executive Officer, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer, and Chairman of SVBC would be made soon. He also urged the launch of WhatsApp services for pilgrims and the integration of services with Aadhaar and cell phone numbers to avoid irregularities.
Additionally, the Chief Minister ordered improvements in sanitation and greenery levels at the temple, alongside the expansion of temples in Venkatapalem and Ontimitta.
