Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday thanked the state people as it became a part of Guinness World Records for organising the world's largest yoga session in Visakhapatnam on International Yoga Day. Lakhs of citizens, including Navy personnel on warships, joined International Yoga Day activities on June 21 at RK Beach in Vizag which was conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This success is the property of each and every people of Andhra Pradesh. I thank all of you who have made this happen," Naidu wrote in an X post responding to Guinness World Records.
The CM added that enthusiasm and commitment of the participants were motivating and stated that the record is proof of what could be done through the power of unity and purpose.
Guinness World records stated that the event was hosted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, reflecting the state's dedication to well-being and age-old customs on the international stage.

"We are thrilled to announce that an amazing 300,105 people participated in the largest yoga lesson ever, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India — held by Gov. of Andhra Pradesh to commemorate International Day of Yoga," Guinness World Records stated in the post on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday praised the people of Andhra Pradesh for how they made the movement to make yoga a lifestyle stronger after the state broke the world record of having the largest yoga session in Visakhapatnam. Lakhs of individuals, ranging from Navy personnel on warships, joined the International Yoga Day celebration on June 21 at Vizag along the RK Beach, spearheaded by Prime Minister Modi.
Guinness World Records stated that the event was a reflection of the state's dedication to wellness and traditional practices on a global stage.
Complimenting the people, Modi went on X to state, "Yoga unites people, once again! Kudos to the people of Andhra Pradesh for the way they have consolidated the movement to integrate Yoga into their lives."
