A recently relocated couple from Belagavi, North Karnataka, faced a brutal assault in Bengaluru allegedly over a parking dispute, captured in distressing footage that has sparked widespread outrage. The distressing incident was caught on camera.
The incident, which occurred in a residential area of Doddanekundi, East Bengaluru, unfolded when the couple parked their car in an area reportedly designated for parking but in front of a residence.
The video was shared on social media platform X by a journalist. In the video, the couple is seen being confronted by two men and a woman emerging from a house. The altercation quickly escalates as the elderly men aggressively approach the couple, with one of them repeatedly slapping the young man, causing him to fall.
Despite attempts by the woman to intervene, she is pushed away, and the assault continues unabated.
Amidst the chaos, cries for help and pleas for the assault to stop can be heard as the violence persists. The situation worsens as another woman from the house joins in, attempting to strip the young woman's top off and forcing her to leave Bengaluru, claiming ownership of the city.
The disturbing video prompted widespread condemnation and calls for swift action against the attackers.
Responding to the outcry, Bengaluru Police announced that the complaint had been forwarded to HAL Police Station, where a case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
