The National Investigation Agency is conducting raids across multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir.

An official said that the NIA raided several locations in J&K, including Baramulla, Reasi, Budgam, and Anantnag districts.

He added that the raids are being conducted across 19 locations in 4 states, including the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in a terror funding case. “Raids are underway, and further details will be shared accordingly,” he said.

A separate source informed reporters that the ongoing raids were being conducted to probe a case related to the activities of the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad.

They said that raids are being conducted in a case registered this year in the NIA's Delhi unit.

The NIA has already cracked a whoop on the terror funding network in J&K. Earlier last month, the NIA carried out raids at several locations across the Jammu region, including Udhampur, Ramban, and Reasi, in connection with its probe into militant infiltration cases.

The searches are being conducted following the registration of cases involving the infiltration of Pakistan-based militants in Jammu and Kashmir, they said.

In a similar pan-India raid in the case on October 5, the top investigation agency conducted searches at 26 locations in different parts of the country and arrested an alleged operative of JeM identified as Sheikh Sultan Salah Ud-Din Ayubi.

The accused was arrested on account of his alleged role in the conspiracy case.
