All seems to be set for the development of Andhra Pradesh’s capital Amaravati. Ponguru Narayana, Municipal administration and urban development minister, on Friday said that, as per plan, nine new cities will come up as part of Amaravati Capital Master Plan.
The nine cities will also include health and sports cities.
The minister said the process related to tender has been completed and clearing of jungles will start in Amaravati by next Monday or Wednesday.
He underscored that the Amaravati Happy Nest project, which was on hold owing to some unforeseen circumstances, will also restart.
Narayana indicated that two other roads will be developed to Amaravati Capital from the Chennai-Kolkata Highway in addition to the Seed Axis Road.
He pointed out that the Capital Region Development Authority has agreed to connect E5, E11, E13 and E15 roads from Seed Capital to the Vijayawada-Chennai national highway.
The minister said it has been decided to call for tenders and immediately start work for building the Karakatta road with four lanes with a central divider.
He pointed out that four more iconic bridges will be built on the inner and outer ring roads in Amaravati.
Currently, there are two bridges over Krishna River and another one will be made available soon.
In all, there will be seven bridges on Krishna River, Narayana added.
