The Indian Army’s commander for northern command, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, has praised security forces personnel stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) for their steadfastness, indomitable courage and unwavering commitment to duty while guarding the nation’s forward lines.
During his interaction with the forces personnel deployed along the LoC in the Krishna Ghati and Bhimber Gali sectors, Lt General Sharma encouraged soldiers to keep improving their skills and use new technologies to stay strong, effective and always ready to protect the nation.
Lt Gen Sharma, in charge of one of the most important northern commands of the Indian Army, toured KG and BG sectors and was accompanied by General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps, Lt Gen PK Mishra, and General Officer Commanding Ace of Spades Division, Maj Gen Kaushik Mukherji, while field commanders and commanding officers briefed Lt Gen Pratik Sharma about the present security scenario.
Besides, the Sharma also reviewed the anti-infiltration grid and assessed the operational preparedness of the troops stationed in the forward areas.
Since early March 2026, he has visited the various sectors of the army command in both Jammu and Kashmir.
He conducted high-level visits across Rajouri, Poonch, and Kishtwar, following successful anti-terror operations conducted by security forces in some of the infiltration-prone areas.
