National Coordinator and former State Secretary of NSUI, Amarjeet Kumar, has been arrested in Jharkhand after he was allegedly found to be involved in a sex racket that was busted by Ranchi police on Tuesday.
Ranchi Police raided different places following information about a sex racket being run in various hotels in the Capital City of Jharkhand. In one of the raids at a hotel on Tuesday, police arrested three girls and a young man involved in the sex racket.
The young man was identified as National Coordinator and former State Secretary of NSUI Amarjeet Kumar. Sources revealed that police have recovered obscene pictures of girls and chats made with customers from Kumar's phone. People involved in the sex racket business used to smuggle women from West Bengal and send them to hotels on the demand of customers.
According to sources the 'pimps' of the sex rackets used to book hotel rooms in advance, after which Amarjeet used to send the women.
Notably, Amarjeet also worked for the All India Professionals Congress.
Police are said to have found many important clues, and actions on which is going on. Sources said that there were huge efforts by white-collared people to get Amarjeet released, but Ranchi police sent him to judicial custody.
