Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has declared assets totaling Rs 71.07 crore, marking an increase of over Rs 7 crore in the past five years, as per an affidavit filed with the Election Commission.
In the affidavit submitted along with his nomination papers for the Hinjili assembly segment, Patnaik disclosed movable assets exceeding Rs 14.05 crore and immovable properties valued at Rs 57.02 crore.
His movable assets comprise term deposits in various banks and post offices, while his immovable assets include Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar valued at ₹13.66 crore and a house on APJ Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi worth ₹43.35 crore.
Patnaik owns a 50 per cent share in the New Delhi residence and two-thirds of Naveen Niwas.
Additionally, the affidavit notes Patnaik's possession of 45.77 grams of buttons adorned with rubies, diamonds, and silver, valued at approximately ₹ 4.17 lakh.
Patnaik also revealed cash holdings of ₹ 30,000 and ownership of a 1980-model ambassador car, currently valued at ₹ 6,434.
Furthermore, Patnaik reported an income of ₹ 92,24,900 in the tax return for the fiscal year 2022-23.
He affirmed having no liabilities and no criminal cases pending against him.
