Odisha's Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, has instructed secretaries from various government departments to ensure seamless arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit on September 27, as per an official statement.
The Prime Minister is set to attend the national 'Sewa Parv' programme in Berhampur and will also be launching a number of welfare projects across the country from Odisha. 'Sewa Parv' is a nationwide initiative that celebrates service as a form of patriotism, with the aim of achieving a developed India.
During a meeting, Majhi told the departments to work towards making the Prime Minister's visit a success by ensuring proper security, public participation, and the smooth execution of the programme. The deployment of security forces and other logistical matters related to the visit were also discussed.
Projects due to be launched by PM Modi include:
The expansion of eight IITs throughout the country
The doubling of the Koraput-Baiguda and Manabar-Koraput-Gorapur railway lines
The inauguration of the Sambalpur-Sarla flyover
The launch of a countrywide, indigenous 4G network by BSNL
The declaration of world-class super-speciality status for state hospitals.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Rangelunda, near Berhampur, to attend the national 'Sewa Parv' programme at 11 am.
