At least one person was killed while two others suffered critical injuries after a motorcycle they were travelling on met with an accident in the Jandrola Gali Nag area of Mandi Tehsil in Poonch district, officials confirmed on Tuesday morning.
According to police officials, three persons were travelling on a motorcycle from the Jandrola area towards Gali Nag when the vehicle reportedly lost control and met with an accident near Gali Nag.
The deceased victim has been identified as Mohammad Azam, son of Noor Mohammad, resident of Islamabad, who died on the spot.
The two injured have been identified as Mohammad Arif, son of Akbar Din, and Noor Mohammad, son of Lal Din, both residents of Islamabad.
The injured were rushed to the District Hospital Poonch for treatment, where their condition is said to be critical.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and registered a case at Police Station Mandi.
An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the cause of the accident.
