A man was injured in a head-on collision between two cars near Shimla, police said on Sunday.
The injured person, identified as 60-year-old Ajit Singh from Taradevi, Shimla, was travelling in one of the cars. The accident occurred around 10:00 am on Sunday near the Sankat Mochan Temple on National Highway 5.
Reports suggest that the driver of a taxi lost control of his vehicle, which then collided with another car, causing serious injuries to Ajit Singh.
The accident led to a temporary disruption in traffic. Police arrived at the scene and quickly took the injured man to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
Shimla Superintendent of Police, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, confirmed the incident and stated that the police are investigating the matter.
