Online registration for the Chardham Yatra will start on Friday. The annual pilgrimage to the four sacred shrines — Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri — in Uttarakhand will start next month.
As per an official statement issued here, online registration for pilgrims through a mobile app will open at 7 am on March 6. The statement also said that offline registration will begin two days before the start of the yatra on April 17. Registration counters will be set up in Rishikesh, Haridwar and Dehradun for the pilgrims.
The pilgrimage will begin on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on April 19 with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri temples. The doors of Kedarnath temple will open on April 22, followed by Badrinath temple on April 23.
