The Centre has allotted six new IAS officers to Haryana, helping reduce the shortage of officers in the state.
In its latest cadre allocation for the 2024 batch, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) allotted six officers to Haryana, two from the state and four from outside.
Muskan Srivastava, who secured Rank 53 and is from Madhya Pradesh, has been given the Haryana cadre. Delhi resident Vishal Singh (Rank 56), Amitej Pangtey (222) and Soham Sailendra (235) have also been allotted Haryana.
Shivani Panchal (53) and Vivek Yadav (272) have received their home cadre.
However, several Haryana candidates among the top 100 in the All India Civil Services Examination, 2024-25, have been allotted non-Haryana cadres. Harshita Goyal (Rank 2) has been given Gujarat, Aditya Vikram Agarwal (9) has got UP cadre, and Deepak Godara (92) has been allotted AGMUT cadre.
Three others from the state, Tejasav, Jitender Kumar and Vishal, have been allotted West Bengal, AGMUT and Himachal Pradesh respectively.
Officials said the addition of six new officers to Haryana cadre will significantly help in reducing the shortage of IAS officers in Haryana. Many IAS officers have been handling multiple charges, affecting administrative efficiency.
With a sanctioned strength of 215, the state has been short of nearly 30 officers. The shortage eased slightly in August when 15 HCS officers were promoted to IAS.
