Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday paid rich tributes to the armed forces on the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, praising their courage and commitment in protecting the country.
In a statement, he said that on the occasion of the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, the nation salutes the personnel in uniform for their exceptional bravery and determination, noting that they responded strongly to those responsible for killing civilians in Pahalgam.
He said that valour, sacrifice, and dedication of the security forces continue to inspire the country and reinforce India’s resolve to combat terrorism and threats to peace.

Apart from 26 civilians who lost their lives in the terror attack, 17 more civilians were killed in the cross-border shelling from Pakistan during the four-day conflict.
Additionally, 40-50 civilians were injured before the hostilities finally ended on May 10 after mutual agreement.
