The 200 MW Khavda Solar Power Project is situated in Khavda Solar Park, being developed by Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) in Kachchh district of Gujarat. The power generated from the project will be supplied to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for 25 years at a tariff of Rs 2.88/unit.

The project will be built at an estimated cost of about Rs 866.8 crore. The installation of this project will contribute to India’s commitment towards achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and Net Zero emissions by 2070. It will also create direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region. Moreover, the project will utilise the vast arid land of Kachchh for clean power generation and help meet the renewable energy requirements of Gujarat.
