PM Modi gears up for Jharkhand visit, rally and plant inauguration planned

This will be the first visit of the Prime Minister to Jharkhand this year, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit coal city Dhanbad in Jharkhand on March 1. 

 

The PM will address a huge rally of the Bharatiya Janata Party at Barwadda in Dhanbad. He is also likely to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL) plant at Sindri in Dhanbad.

 

This will be the first visit of the Prime Minister to Jharkhand this year, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

 

A detailed meeting of State BJP officials on the Prime Minister’s proposed visit was held on Friday in Giridih, where State BJP Chief Babulal Marandi met MPs, MLAs, and senior party functionaries of three parliamentary constituencies.

 

Union Minister of State Annapurna Devi cum Koderma MP Annapurna Devi was also present at the meeting.

 

The BJP has entrusted senior party officials with the responsibilities of the PM’s programme, which thousands of people from three Lok Sabha constituencies are expected to reach.

 

It will be the first public address of PM Modi in Jharkhand in the election year 2024. Earlier, the Prime Minister’s visit to Dhanabad was rescheduled twice.

 

The state BJP unit is holding preparations on a war footing regarding Modi’s visit.

State BJP president Babulal Marandi visited the proposed site of the PM’s programme in Dhanbad on Sunday and handed over responsibilities to MPs, MLAs and district presidents of three Lok Sabha constituencies Giridih, Dhanbad, and Koderma to for the programme.

 

In the year 2023, the Prime Minister became the first serving PM to visit martyr Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birthplace, Ulihatu, in the Khunti district of Jharkhand on his birth anniversary on November 15.  

 

The PM on November 14 has also participated in a road show from Birsa Munda Airport to Raj Bhawan where he was given a grand welcome by the people of the state.
