Mumbai Police have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory to ensure smooth commuting during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's anticipated visit to the city on Monday.

Effective from 7 am to 2 pm, significant alterations have been implemented in the routine traffic flow along key thoroughfares of the metropolis.

Noteworthy among the alterations is the opening of Rambhau Salgaonkar Road from the Indu Clinic Junction (Sayyed Jamadar Chowk) to Volga Chowk, allowing for unhindered vehicular movement in both directions.

Additionally, the stretch of Maker Tower 04, spanning from Jamanalal Bajaj Marg to Usha Mehta Chowk, will also be accessible for vehicles in both directions.

Similarly, the section extending from Jamanalal Babaj Marg to NCPA Gate No 04 will facilitate two-way traffic.

Parking restrictions will be rigorously enforced in specific areas from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The affected roads encompass Shahid Bhagatsing Road, Nathalal Parekh Road, Captain Prakash Pethe Road, Rambhau Salgaonkar Road, Gen. Jagannath Bhosle Road, Madam Cama Road, Barrister Rajni Patel Marg, Jamanalal Bajaj Marg, Vinay K Shah Marg, Ramnath Goika Marg, Dorabaji Tata Road, NCPA Marg, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Marg, VV Rao Marg, and Best Road.

Commuters are strongly advised to meticulously plan their travel routes in adherence to the traffic guidelines to preempt any inconvenience during the Prime Minister's visit.

PM Modi's itinerary in Mumbai entails his attendance at the 90th-anniversary celebrations of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Upon his morning arrival, PM Modi will be airlifted to INS Shikra, the helibase of the Indian Navy in Colaba, from where he will proceed by road to the RBI premises adjacent to Town Hall.

While PM Modi assumes the role of chief guest for the event, dignitaries including Governor Ramesh Bais, CM Eknath Shinde, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, alongside Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and Ministers of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Dr. Bhagwat Karad, are slated as guests of honour.
