Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Haryana on April 14, where he will inaugurate the Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar and lay the foundation stone for a new 800 MW thermal power unit at the Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant (DCRTPP) in Yamunanagar.
Providing details about the visit, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the Prime Minister will be the chief guest at a state-level function commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Addressing the media alongside state ministers Krishan Kumar Bedi, Krishan Pal Panwar, and Vipul Goel, Saini emphasised that each of PM Modi’s visits to Haryana has brought significant development initiatives for the state.
During the visit, PM Modi will formally inaugurate commercial operations at Hisar's Maharaja Agrasen Airport, a key project aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and driving economic growth in Haryana’s aviation sector. The airport is expected to facilitate business and tourism while improving intra-state and inter-state air travel.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW power generation unit at the Yamunanagar-based DCRTPP, a project estimated to cost ₹7,272 crore. The new unit is expected to significantly boost Haryana’s energy production capacity and strengthen its power infrastructure.
The Haryana government has expressed optimism that these projects will enhance the state's industrial and economic landscape, furthering its growth under the leadership of PM Modi.
