Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to transfer the first installment of funds into the bank accounts of 1.13 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Jharkhand.
The process of transaction would be carried out during his visit to Jamshedpur on September 15, where he will also flag off two Vande Bharat trains and launch several railway projects.
Union Minister for Agriculture, Shivaraj Singh Chauhan, announced on Sunday that the Prime Minister will transfer ₹2 lakh each to the accounts of 1.13 lakh PMAY beneficiaries in Jharkhand on September 15.
Chauhan added that Jharkhand has received 1,13,195 houses under PMAY this time. Of these, the highest number—12,196 houses—have been allotted to beneficiaries in Palamu district, followed by Garhwa with 9,097, Giridih with 8,599, and Ranchi with 6,410 houses.
Chauhan also stated that the State BJP will launch six 'Parivartan Yatras' ahead of the state assembly elections to highlight the shortcomings of the JMM-led ruling alliance in Jharkhand.
He stressed that while the people of Jharkhand are already aware of the situation, the Yatras will further expose the reality of the current government.
These campaigns will focus on issues such as corruption, unfulfilled promises, declining law and order, rising crimes against women, illegal infiltration, demographic changes, and other concerns.
Chauhan criticised the Hemant Soren-led government, claiming it has not accomplished anything significant in the past five years and is now making empty promises with elections approaching.
"No jobs were provided over the last five years, and incidents like paper leaks happened repeatedly. But now, as the elections draw near, they are making hurried announcements," Chauhan remarked.
He also mentioned the tragic deaths of 13 candidates during the excise constable recruitment process, accusing the state government of negligence.
Chauhan alleged that the recruitment drive was merely a facade to garner votes and not a genuine effort to provide employment to the youth.
Chauhan further claimed that the poorly planned recruitment drive led to the deaths of 16 aspirants, and the Hemant Soren government is now blaming the COVID-19 vaccine for these fatalities.
