PMLA court summons 3 after charge sheet filed against Hemant Soren

All 3 persons summoned are accused of money laundering in a land scam case.

The Prevention of Money Laundering Act court in Ranchi has taken cognisance of the ED's Prosecution Complaint (PC) filed against former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and others.

 

The special PMLA court has issued summons against architect Vinod Singh, Rajkumar Pahan and Hilarious Kachhap.

 

ED officials have filed a Prosecution Complaint (PC) of about 5500 pages in the special court of Ranchi PMLA on March 31, in which detailed information was given about how money was laundered through land scam.

 

In the charge sheet filed, along with Hemant Soren, suspended revenue sub-inspector of Badgai zone Bhanu Pratap Prasad, architect Vinod Singh, close to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Hilarius Kachhap living in Bariatu area and land owner Raj Kumar Pahan have been summoned.

 

The main accused in this case, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and then revenue inspector of Badgain Bhanu Pratap Prasad, are currently lodged in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail, Ranchi.

 

The then Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested on the night of January 31 in a money laundering case after his resignation.

 

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Hemant Soren after more than seven hours of interrogation in the land scam case.
