A 55-year-old tea seller was fatally struck when a Police Control Room (PCR) van collided with his roadside stall in the Mandir Marg area of central Delhi on Thursday morning, according to police reports.
The victim, identified as Gangaram, was asleep at his tea shop when the incident occurred at approximately 5 am, a senior police officer stated. His son resides with him in Delhi, while his wife lives in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, the officer added.
"Two police personnel who were in the Police Control Room (PCR) van have been apprehended. Their medical examination is being conducted," the officer said. The deceased’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and a further investigation is ongoing, police confirmed.
