In a continued effort to restore normalcy and revive tourism in Jammu and Kashmir after the Pahalgam terror attack, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is set to chair a high-level meeting at Gulmarg, the popular ski resort, on Wednesday.
According to a notice issued by the General Administration Department, the meeting will be held at 12 noon and will be attended by senior ministers, top bureaucrats, and senior police officials.
The Inspector General of Police, Kashmir; the Deputy Inspector General, North Kashmir; and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Baramulla, are among those expected to be present.
This comes a day after Abdullah chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, where 26 people—mostly tourists—were killed in a brutal terrorist attack on 22 April.

Officials said that holding meetings outside the fortified Civil Secretariat is intended to allay public fears and rebuild trust in the region's security.
“The aim behind holding meetings outside the fortified Civil Secretariat is to alleviate fear and reinforce a sense of security and trust,” the officials said.
They added that such visible measures would contribute to reviving the tourism industry, which has suffered a major blow since the attack.
As part of its outreach, the Jammu and Kashmir government is currently hosting a delegation of tour and travel operators from across India to help restore confidence in the Valley as a safe tourist destination.
