Pratibha Singh, president of the Himachal Pradesh Congress, has called for urgent reforms in the party’s organisation to address growing dissatisfaction among members. She is the only leader retained after the party’s dissolution in November 2024 and says both experienced leaders and young members must be given roles.
In her appeal to the Chief Minister, Singh urged that loyal party workers be rewarded with positions in boards and corporations to strengthen the organisation.
She said this would follow the vision of the late chief minister, Virbhadra Singh, to bring unity and strength to the party.
After meeting senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, Singh stressed the need to quickly appoint a new state party head and build strong units at all levels. She called for teamwork, drawing on her experience as Virbhadra Singh’s wife and mother of Minister Vikramaditya Singh.
