While speaking at a book launch in Indore on Sunday, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat stated that India is forging ahead on a path of development, proving all predictions wrong.

He said that during the 3,000 years that India was a world leader, there was no global conflict. He attributed conflicts in the world to personal interests, which he said were responsible for all problems.

Bhagwat also referred to former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, suggesting that India had proved him wrong by remaining united after the end of British rule.

"Winston Churchill once said that after independence (from British rule), you (India) will not be able to survive and will be divided, but this did not happen," Bhagwat said. "Now England itself is nearing division, but we will not be divided. We will move forward. We were once divided, but we will unite that again."

Bhagwat also said that while the world operates on faith and belief, India is a land of faith with men of action and logic. He added that everyone is an actor in the drama of life and must play their part, and that their true selves would only emerge when the drama concludes. He said that the faith that exists in India is based on direct perception (knowledge) and evidence.
