Properties worth ₹3.5-cr attached under NDPS Act in Srinagar

According to police officials, the investigation revealed that both properties were illegally acquired through proceeds generated from the drug trade. Both properties have been officially attached and frozen under the provisions of the NDPS Act.

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday attached properties worth Rs 3.5 crore belonging to two alleged drug peddlers under the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan. The properties were attached after proper verification by police officials under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985.


In the first raid, a police team from Police Station Nigeen attached an immovable property worth approximately Rs 1.30 crore under Section 68F(1) of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 30/2021 registered under Sections 8 and 21 of the NDPS Act.

 

The property comprises a double-storey residential house along with a land situated at Habbak Crossing in the Hazratbal area belonging to Rahil Manzoor Malla, son of Manzoor Ahmad Malla and a resident of Habbak Crossing, Hazratbal.

 

In the second action, a police team from Police Station Soura attached a residential house worth Rs 2.20 crore under Section 68F of the NDPS Act belonging to Adil Rashid Gudoo, son of Abdul Rashid Gudoo, a resident of Keel Khan Gali (Haider Colony), Upper Soura, who is involved in the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs.

 

According to police officials, the investigation revealed that both properties were illegally acquired through proceeds generated from the drug trade. Both properties have been officially attached and frozen under the provisions of the NDPS Act.

 

The attached properties would no longer be available for sale, transfer, lease or alteration to anyone until the legal proceedings are completed.
