The complaint alleging harassment has been filed by probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar against Pune district collector Suhas Diwase at Washim in eastern Maharashtra, according to an official on Tuesday.
There was no response from Diwase to calls and messages asking for his reaction.
Khedkar is being investigated for her assertions regarding her disability and OBC certificates during her IAS clearance, as well as her behaviour while serving in the Pune collector's office.
"Women police personnel visited Khedkar at her residence in Washim on Monday, and she lodged a complaint of harassment against Pune district collector Suhas Diwase," the official said.
Earlier in the day, Khedkar refused to elaborate on the purpose of the police personnel visit while speaking to TV news channels.
"I had called female police personnel because I had some work," she had said.
The government suspended Khedkar's 'district training program' on Tuesday and required her to return to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration for "necessary action."
After Diwase reported her behaviour to senior officials, Khedkar was moved from Pune to Washim as a supernumerary assistant collector. This was due to her alleged demands for facilities that she, as a trainee IAS official, was not entitled to, and for occupying the ante-chamber of a senior official.
Regarding her complaint, the official at Washim stated that it would be passed on to the Pune police for further action.
Despite multiple attempts to reach him, Diwase did not respond to calls or messages asking for his comment.
