The accused stabbed the woman over a financial dispute.

In a shocking incident, a Pune MNC employee stabbed his colleague in the parking lot of their office in Yerawada, leading to her death. The tragic event, which highlights growing concerns over workplace disputes, has become a key topic in Pune crime news.

The victim, 28-year-old Shubhada Shankar Kodare, was attacked by her colleague, Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja, 30, around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The altercation occurred in the parking lot of their multinational company's office. CCTV footage captured the horrifying scene, showing Kanoja charging at Kodare with a kitchen knife. Despite her attempts to defend herself, she sustained multiple stab wounds, including a deep injury to her right elbow.

Kodare was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition due to excessive blood loss. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Police investigations revealed that the attack stemmed from a financial disagreement. Kanoja had reportedly lent Kodare Rs 4.5 lakh over the past two years to help her with medical expenses for herself and her father. According to police, Kanoja was pressuring her for repayment, which led to repeated arguments.

After the attack, Kodare managed to call her father and inform him about the incident. Kanoja also contacted her father, demanding the repayment of the borrowed amount.

The police detained Kanoja shortly after the incident. Based on a complaint filed by Kodare's sister, a case has been registered against him under Section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder, along with relevant sections of the Arms Act.

This tragic incident has sparked discussions in Pune news circles about workplace safety and the escalation of personal disputes.
