Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon on Tuesday said the controversy surrounding the movie Satluj should now be brought to a close. He said revisiting painful chapters from the past would not benefit anyone.
Dhillon said Punjab had witnessed enough bloodshed and hardship in the past, and healing from those tragedies was a long process. He said people should honour the memory of all Punjabis who lost their lives, irrespective of their faith, instead of turning the issue into political rhetoric.
Dhillon also urged the media to report the issue responsibly. He said maintaining peace and harmony in Punjab should remain the top priority.
His remarks come amid the ongoing row over the Punjabi movie Satluj, which has reignited discussions about the state's troubled past.
