Doctors explained that his vitals were "completely stable," and he had shown signs of recovery.
Dr R K Jaswal, Director and Head of the Department of Cardiology at Fortis Hospital, noted that Mann had responded well to the treatment for increased pulmonary artery pressure, a condition that had caused fluctuations in his blood pressure.
Some heart-related tests were also conducted as a precaution.
Leptospirosis, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), is a bacterial disease transmitted from animals to humans through contact with the urine of infected animals or urine-contaminated environments.
The bacteria can enter the human body through skin abrasions or mucous membranes, making it a potentially serious condition if untreated.
On Sunday morning, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains visited Mann at the hospital. Congress MLA Pargat Singh also paid a visit to inquire about the chief minister's health.
Despite his recent health scare, Mann has called for a review meeting regarding paddy procurement arrangements at his official residence, scheduled for 5 pm on Sunday.
