Punjab CM Mann to lead hunger strike against Kejriwal's arrest on April 7.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to be part of the mass hunger strike scheduled for April 7 against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal. To be headed by CM Mann, the hunger strike will be held at Khatkar Kalan, the native village of Bhagat Singh.

Apart from this, as per the sources, the party’s MLAs and key office-bearers are also expected to be part of the protest.

Additionally, the party will hold fasts at the district level. CM Bhagwant Mann will initiate a contact campaign with AAP volunteers to boost the party's campaign in 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in the region.

Meanwhile, yesterday, the Tihar jail officials accepted CM Mann's request to meet Arvind Kejriwal and allowed the AAP leader to meet the Delhi CM but as a regular visitor.

"Mann can meet Kejriwal but it can happen as a normal visitor meets in the 'mulakat jangla' in Tihar jail. The officials can make security arrangements as Mann is a chief minister and enjoys Z+ security cover," an officer, on anonymity, stated.
