The Punjab government on Friday announced that all state government offices, boards, corporations and other institutions will return to their normal working hours from July 1.

 

An official spokesperson said government offices in Punjab and Chandigarh will function from 9 am to 5 pm from next month.

 

The office timings had been changed to 7.30 am to 1.30 pm from May 25 as a temporary measure to help employees cope with the extreme summer heat.

 

The revised summer schedule will remain in effect until June 30. From July 1, all government offices and institutions will resume their regular working hours, the spokesperson said.
