Punjabi actress Sonia Mann joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday in Delhi, in the presence of the party’s national convener, Arvind Kejriwal.
AAP leaders welcomed Mann into the party, highlighting her long-standing involvement in social service. The party stated that Mann, daughter of Kirti Kisan Union leader Baldev Singh, has actively raised social and political issues through social media.

Speaking about her decision, Mann said she was impressed by the AAP government’s work in Punjab and felt that the party would give her the right platform to serve the people.
“I chose to join AAP because I believe it is the only party that truly prioritizes public welfare. Whenever I approached an AAP MLA or minister, they took immediate action on important issues,” she said.
Sonia Mann has worked in Punjabi, Hindi, and Malayalam films. Her film credits include the Malayalam movie ‘Hide n’ Seek’ (2012), Punjabi film ‘Haani’ (2013), and Bollywood film ‘Happy Hardy and Heer’ (2020).
