Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced on Monday that his state, in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh, will jointly develop the Shri Krishna Gaman Path to promote cultural and religious sites linked to the deity.
Sharma made the announcement while addressing reporters in Ujjain, where he visited the revered Lord Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the 12 'jyotirlings' in India.
"I have come from Krishna's birthplace in Braj Bhoomi to the land of his education. Today, the Madhya Pradesh chief minister and I announced the creation of Shri Krishna Gaman Path, the route Lord Krishna traversed. This initiative will further strengthen the centuries-old cultural and social ties between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan," Sharma said.
Earlier in the day, Sharma also visited the Giriraj Ji temple to offer prayers.
