Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said joint teams of the concerned departments should be formed to expedite the relief and rescue work in the affected areas.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma convened an emergency meeting with senior officials on Sunday to assess the impact of relentless rains that have caused widespread disruption across Rajasthan. In response to the severe weather, all schools in four heavily affected districts—Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Bharatpur, and Dausa—have been ordered to close on Monday.

During the meeting at the Chief Minister's Office, Sharma directed officials to expedite relief efforts in the affected areas and to take all necessary precautions in line with the weather department's forecast for the coming days.

With warnings of more heavy rainfall in certain parts of the state, district collectors in the hardest-hit regions issued directives to shut down both government and private schools as a safety measure.

Sharma emphasised the need for joint teams from relevant departments to be deployed swiftly to speed up relief and rescue operations. He instructed officials to visit waterlogged areas to ensure the prompt drainage of water and the provision of essential services, including drinking water, food, and medical supplies. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of restoring water and electricity supplies as quickly as possible.

In addition, Sharma urged the state police to remain vigilant and instructed civic bodies to work diligently to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases. Public advisories for awareness and safety were also mandated.
