Despite investigations by high-profile medical teams, the cause of these deaths remains unknown.
Preliminary findings suggest a brain-damaging neurotoxin in the food chain may be responsible, but investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause and ensure the safety of the village's population.
The last group of 13 individuals from Badhaal, who had been quarantined at the Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, was discharged and sent home on Wednesday.
GMC Rajouri has been leading the response efforts, with a team of medical professionals working tirelessly to contain the situation and uncover the cause behind the mysterious deaths.
