Khan Sir, popular educator and YouTuber, joins the ongoing protest of BPSC aspirants in Patna, urging students to remain peaceful while demanding a re-examination following allegations of malpractice in the exam in Patna on Friday.

Popular educator and YouTuber Khan Sir joined the ongoing protest of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants on Friday, urging the students to maintain peace while continuing their demonstrations.

The protestors have been staging protests over alleged irregularities and delays in the BPSC examination process, following accusations of a question paper leak during the 70th Integrated Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination held on December 13.

Khan Sir, who has gained popularity for his educational videos, expressed his discontent with the BPSC’s handling of the situation, stating, “Pehle desh ka GDP gira, phir Bihar mein pul (Bridge) gira, phir BPSC gir gaya” – a remark comparing the commission’s collapse to the economic decline of the country and the fall of bridges in Bihar. He urged the commission to conduct a re-examination amidst the ongoing controversy.

While addressing the protesting aspirants, Khan Sir assured them, “Everyone wants a re-exam,” and joined in their slogans against the BPSC. The protests, which have gained momentum since December 13, stem from allegations of malpractice during the exam. Some candidates reported receiving the question paper late, while others claimed their answer sheets were torn, fuelling suspicions of fraud.

The students’ protests have intensified in recent days, with demands for the cancellation of the exam and a re-examination.

Political figures such as Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Yadav and Jan Suraj chief Prashant Kishore have expressed solidarity with the aspirants.

Lalu Yadav condemned the police’s use of force against the protesters, saying, “They shouldn’t have done this. It’s wrong…”

However, police authorities have clarified that "mild force" was used and denied any reports of injuries to the protesting students.

Prashant Kishore, a key political figure, gave the Bihar government an ultimatum, demanding that the issue be resolved within three days or he would lead the protests himself.
