The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted searches at multiple locations across Kashmir, including the residence of a Handwara-based businessman in north Kashmir, as part of its ongoing investigation into the Red Fort explosion case. NIA teams examined documents and seized electronic devices from the premises. Similar raids were also conducted in the Kulgam district in south Kashmir.
Since the explosion on November 10, 2025, in a crowded street near the historic Red Fort in New Delhi, the NIA has carried out nearly two dozen raids across Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.
On December 1–2, 2025, the agency carried out coordinated raids at about 10 locations in Kashmir and one in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, targeting residences of accused individuals such as Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay and Muzammil Shakeel.
Searches are underway in Kashmir and Haryana to uncover remaining links in what officials describe as a white-collar terror module. The probe originated from initial raids by local police in Faridabad, Haryana, on November 9–10, 2025, which led to the seizure of approximately 2,900 kg of explosives.
So far, 11 individuals have been arrested and the operation’s radius continues to expand.
