Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed ministers and constituency in-charges to review voter-list cases at the grassroots level and assist eligible voters in resolving any discrepancies.

The Telangana government has called on Congress party workers and constituency representatives to maintain vigilance during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to prevent the inadvertent exclusion of eligible voters.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed ministers and constituency in-charges to review voter-list cases at the grassroots level and assist eligible voters in resolving any discrepancies. Congress leaders have accused the BJP and BRS of attempting to influence the revision process, though opposition parties have denied these allegations.

Separately, the government highlighted recent rainfall across Telangana and outlined its welfare initiatives for farmers and other groups, including the Rythu Bharosa scheme, free electricity, and other announced programmes.

Under the Indiramma Indlu housing programme, the government has announced plans to provide 100,000 houses within Hyderabad. This initiative aims to offer permanent housing for economically weaker and lower-middle-income families within the city, avoiding relocation to distant peripheral areas.

Government officials have characterised the housing scheme as part of a broader effort to improve living conditions and ensure greater dignity and security for urban families. Opposition parties are expected to closely monitor the implementation and delivery of the scheme.

Earlier on Thursday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appealed to the public to ensure their names are not removed from electoral rolls during the SIR, alleging conspiracies by some political forces to delete voter names. Speaking at the “Minorities Excellence Summit,” he urged Congress workers to visit every household to verify voter details.

“Some forces were attempting to have votes deleted in the ‘SIR’. After winning West Bengal, the political forces said their next target is Telangana,” the Chief Minister said, as quoted in a release.

He asserted that Congress would not allow eligible voters to lose their right to vote and called on party cadres to guarantee all voters’ names remain on the electoral rolls. “Everyone must become a Revanth Reddy and safeguard the right to vote,” he stated.
