Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said resolving the grievances of the people is a firm commitment of the government.
On the second day of his visit to Gorakhpur, Adityanath listened to the grievances of 150 people gathered for the Janata Darshan held in the Gorakhnath Temple premises. During the programme, he directed officials to resolve cases with promptness and sensitivity.
He emphasised that justice must be delivered to everyone without discrimination, eligible beneficiaries must receive the benefits of public welfare schemes, medical treatment for the needy must be ensured, and strict action must be taken against land mafias and strongmen.
At the programme, a woman appealed for financial assistance for her daughter's wedding. The chief minister told her that she was eligible to receive Rs 1 lakh per couple under the 'Mukhyamantri Saamuhik Vivaah Yojana' (Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme) and instructed officials to complete the necessary formalities.
Addressing individuals seeking treatment for serious ailments, he assured that no one's treatment would be halted due to a lack of funds.
He directed officials to expeditiously prepare and submit cost estimates for the treatment of the needy, so that the government could immediately release the necessary funds.
Directives were also issued for the swift resolution of matters related to revenue and law and order, the state government said in a statement.
